Ink Emulsification

Problem:

Too much fountain solution is fed onto plates.

Solution:

Cut back on dampener feed and reset dampeners to eliminate scumming.

Fountain solution is out of balance.

Solution:

Check pH and conductivity of fountain solution. Do not dilute with water to reduce either; refill reservoir with fresh mixture.
