Piling

Piling is where the ink starts drying up on the blankets, plates or rollers and stops transferring properly.

Problem:

The inker is too hot.

Solution:

Check temperatures.

Very little consumption on the design.

Solution:

Replace with a weaker ink.

Ink is over pigmented.

Solution:

Reduce pigment loading.

Problem:

Viscosity is too high.

Solution:

Add reducer.
