Color Variation

Color is not stable during the production. This usually happens when line speeds change, and/or in start and stop situations.

Problem:

Insufficient or excessive cooling.

Solution:

Keep the temperature of the roller chain stable, in between 30 – 45ºC. Ensure the chiller is not clogged.

Problem:

Screen work dot gain.

Solution:

Keep the ink film weight as low as possible to stop the plates from becoming flooded.

Problem:

Side to side color variation.

Solution:

Check roller settings in order to identify the root cause of the print differential.
